ITINERARY
Day 1 (Bergamo)
Reach Bergamo in the early afternoon. Enjoy your afternoon discovering the secrets of the stunning Città Alta, a village surrounded by walls, featuring narrow medieval alleys, and numerous impressive historical and artistic monuments. Enjoy the austere charm of Piazza Vecchia with the Contarini Fountain, and the turreted palace of the Region, with the 53-meters-high Campanone or Civic Tower separatings Piazza Vecchia from Piazza Duomo. Do not miss the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Cathedral of St. Alessandro, the Baptistery and the Colleoni Chapel.
Dinner in the cittadella at Trattoria La Colombina. Enjoy a typical local menu - polenta crostone with salami and pickles, seasonal risotto, dessert, water and house wine, coffee. Overnight stay in a double room at La Residenza del Borgo*** or similar
Day 2 (Bergamo / Cornello dei Tasso)
After breakfast, take your ca and move to Val Brembana. You will easily reach the charming Village of Cornello dei Tasso situated in a magnificent panoramic position overlooking the valley and reachable on foot via a short footpath. The professional staff of the local small Museo Postale will introduce you to the fascinating history of this place out of time. Just a few steps away you will find a perfect place for lunch. Trattoria Camozzi, located within the village, offers genuine traditional dishes, including the typical "casoncelli" from Bergamo. Enjoy your time to relax among the greenery before driving back to Bergamo. Free dinner and overnight.
Day 3 (Clusone / Lovere)
After a good breakfast, drive to Clusone, a charming town in the province of Bergamo, situated on a wide plateau and surrounded by the green forests of the Orobie Mountains. In Clusone you can also breathe in the fascination of the mysteries of History: the frescoes in the Oratory of the Disciplini take us back straight to the Middle Ages. Be assured not to miss the astronomical clock, still in perfectly working, which, with its original mechanics, has amazed all visitors for four hundred years now! At the end of the visit continue driving to Lovere, a lovely village along the shores of the Northern Part of Lake Iseo. The road running along the lake offers magnificent views of the lake and the surrunding mountains. Enjoy your lunch at Restaurant Casa Bohtep to happily conclude your tour.
