Catullus had a house in Sirmione, along the narrow peninusula entering Lake Garda, where you can enjoy an amazing panorama and visit the archaeological site called "grotte di Catullo".

Gabriele D'Annunzio, one of the greatest Italian poets, lived in Gardone Riviera, where he built a real citadel, called "Vittoriale degli Italiani", where you can visit three Museums and the beutiful gardens.
