We offer you a 3 days/2 nights stay at the Hotel West Garda in Padenghe, a visit to the Castles in Lonato, Soiano and Padenghe.
You will try also a wine tasting of different kinds of wine and local products at the “Enoteca Garda e Vino”, a wine cellar in Manerba.
The Castle of Padenghe lies on a hill at the back of the town. From such a height, visitors can enjoy a marvellous view of the whole southern cost of the Lake.
It was built between the IX and the X century during the Hungarian invasions. What we can see today is a reconstruction from the XIII century.
The Castle of Soiano lies in the very centre of the town, which it gives some sort of medieval look to.
It’s squared shaped, rounded by a big brick-and-stone wall, has two great towers and a lifting bridge. In summer, music festivals and gastronomic fairs take place within the walls of the castle.
The Castle of Lonato, also known as “Rocca”, lies on one of the peaks of the Morenic Hills in the southern part of the lake. The building is one of the hugest and most massive of the whole Lombardy, it’s 180 metres long and 45 metres large.
Within the Castle lies the Ornithology Museum.
