Easy bike itinerary along the "Wine Route - Lombard Hills"
Starting from Piazzale Fossa Bagni and following the ideal itinerary of our hills, that saw the deeds of ancient Lombards, we go on to via Turati, along Cidneo Hill Vineyard.
Going on to Viale Venezia and S. Eufemia we pass through the first signalled route of the marble valley. We reach then Botticino, where we can visit the Marble Museum and, if there is time enough, the caves.
Break for wine and typical products tasting, such as the honey of the surrounding valleys.
We start again our tour to Valverde until we reach the Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna who appeared in 1399 to a peasant and then in 1711 to two children.
From here we go on to Castenedolo via the historical centre of Rezzato.
In Castenedolo it is possibile to visit the main church and the Sala dei Disciplini. We stop again at a cellar for the tasting of our local red and white wines IGT Montenetto.
Our next stop is in Montirone, and here we will visit the farmhouse La Fioreria, beauty farm and school of floral composition with the flowers Museum.
From Montirone, going through roads and countryside, we reach Poncarale (Cascina San Bernardino) and then we go on through vineyards to the Montenetto di Capriano del Colle.
Here we suggest a stop in one of our pastry shops or member restaurants of the Wine Route.
Length: 65 km – Itinerary: easy. We suggest the use of mountain bikes.
